Flow Wrap/Packing & Dispatch Operative (Food Production)

Brownings the Bakers are looking for Flow Wrap/Packing and Dispatch Operatives to join our bakery based in Kilmarnock.

Hourly rate dependant on experience.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Working in a team within the packing and dispatch area of the business the operative will wrap our finished products using an automated flow-wrap machine.
• Consults production schedule to determine products to be wrapped during shift.
• Sorts and counts unwrapped products and ensures they are wrapped correctly.
• Inspects and removes defective or damaged products.
• Notifies supervisor or other appropriate staff when supplies need to be reordered.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to meet targets of machine rate
• Ability to operate a flow wrap machine. Desired but not essential.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Basic math skills
• Previous related experience preferred; on-the-job training offered.

SHIFT: 4 ON/4 OFF ROLLING PATTERN (4 X 11 HOUR SHIFTS) 5am to 4.30pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £10.42-£10.92 per hour
