Transport Planner

Here at Ultimate Recruitment, we are looking for an experienced Night Transport Planner for a very well established client.

Area: Birmingham

Pay rate: £14.87 per hour PAYE this rate is for an experienced Transport Planner, the rate may be lower depending on experience.

Salary: £27,000 - £29,000 depending on experience

Temp to Perm (10 weeks through Ultimate Recruitment and then direct with our client)

Start times: 18:00 – 2am

Hours per week: 37.5 hours

Overall Role Purposes:

• An experienced person with the capability to manage and plan vehicles for collections and deliveries throughout the UK.
• Ability to adapt and embrace change while keeping calm in a pressured time driven environment
• Needs to be familiar with DVSA, WTD, and UK legislation.
• To work as part of the transport team.
• To be flexible with working times and days, and be part of a shift operation.
• Needs to be able to communicate effectively at all levels, with a history of dealing with both internal and external customers,
• Good PC skills, Specifically Word, Excel, Outlook
• (Atlas would be advantageous)
• Proven history in freight forwarding with the ability to demonstrate their forward thinking attitude and how to compel others to follow the same
• Will be compliant in all processes and procedures.
• Responsible for all aspects of Health & Safety in the work place as well as monitoring and enforcing all safe systems of work for drivers to follow,
• Must have a full understanding Aviation Security regulations and ensuring compliance at all times
• Needs to be a good problem solver and enjoy the challenge
• Must have a good understanding of current UK legislation to vehicles and drivers hours and vehicle regulations.
• Good rate of pay, dependent on experience and the benefits for working for a global logistic company.
