Studying towards or recently gained IATI qualification

Location: Rathfriland, Newry, Co. Down

Hours: 40 hours a week (Mon-Fri 9am to 5.30pm)

Airtastic Entertainment Centres which is also part of the Funky Monkeys Group is a dynamic business that operates in N. Ireland, Republic of Ireland and mainland UK. The head office of the group is in
Northern Ireland. The business specialises in a high professional delivery of services/activity centres in the leisure industry and the groups area of expertise is in children’s soft play centres, trampoline parks, inflata parks, indoor mini golf, bowling, amusement arcades and cafés/diners within the centres.

Due to further expansion, we are now recruiting for an Accounts Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.

Job Description

Reporting to the Company Accountant.

General accounting duties including but not limited to:

· Daily Processing of Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger (NI & ROI companies)

· Reconciling bank statements

· Preparing and submitting VAT returns in both NI and ROI

· Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts including prepayments, general accruals and other relevant journal entries

· Dealing with financial paperwork and filing

· Any other duties as required

Qualifications/Experience

· A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a busy finance environment

· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

· Excellent planning and organisational skills and ability to work to tight reporting deadlines

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with people both internally and externally

· Ability to work on own initiative and within a team

· Proficient in the use of Sage 50 accounts, Microsoft excel, word and outlook
