Tea Cafe and Events Assistant

Be-oom is a start-up tea and lifestyle brand with emphasis on Korean tea, located on Exmouth Market, Clerkenwell. We focus on the practice of drinking tea as a way of meditation and taking a pause out of our busy daily lives. We are looking for full-time and part-time tea helpers and brewers to work in our tea shop/garden on Exmouth Market.

All our teas are carefully selected and sourced from family-run farms with smallholdings. We pride ourselves in providing teas that are fresh, pure and flavourful. We are looking for someone with a keen interest in tea with an ability to be a great brand ambassador.

What you'll be doing:

- Brewing fresh cups of various types of teas;

- Communicating with customers on various options of teas, lifestyle products and giftsets;

- Running food and drinks (snacks and desserts, mostly for food);

- Re-stocking products on shelves, displaying products;

- Packaging teas;

- Managing events when needed;

- Opening and closing the tea shop/garden.

You have:

- At least one year of experience in retail sales and/or catering (coffee shops, tea shops – barista experience preferred);

- Keen interest in tea (a must);

- Interest in Korean culture (preferred).

The full-time role will be on a permanent basis and will be developed and trained as an assistant manager. Please state if you are interested in working full-time or part-time when applying, with the number of hours/days available.

Our opening hours will be Monday-Saturday 11am till 7pm and Sunday 11am till 5pm – hours may change. The launch of the brand, along with the official opening of the store, is at the end of March.
