Are you a passionate Mechanical Design Engineer, looking for an exciting new role?

Coulter Elite Resourcing are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work with one of their well-established and very successful clients based in Peterborough working as part of their Sales team.

The company is a global leader in the niche, supplying engineered technologies and services to process industries. The company designs and manufactures a variety of products, including mechanical seals and systems, couplings, filtration systems and digital diagnostics technologies.

Principle Responsibilities for the Mechanical Design Engineer:-

• Effective use of Siemens Solid Edge CAD systems 2&3D in the creation and checking of General Arrangement and detail manufacturing drawings.
• Applying a sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles i.e. associated tolerancing, surface finish requirements and manufacturing techniques.
• Undertake model making (ANSYS or similar) evaluating stress and deformation.
• Utilise Parametric modelling to support in design automation of existing and new product lines.
• Ability to interpret customer specifications & make decisions based on the available technical information
• Design with consideration to the aesthetics, materials, and functionality of components.
• Undertake complex calculations.

Person specification:-

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Basic understanding of compressors and rotating equipment.
• Positive attitude towards teamwork and excellent communication skills with internal and external bodies.
• Creative design capabilities transforming ideas into engineered solutions.
• Ability to identify new systems and processes to drive quality, efficiency and save costs.

This is a full time permanent Mechanical Design Engineer position, Monday to Friday HYBRID role, offering an annual salary of up to £50,000 plus annual company benefits to include up to 12% pension matched, Healthcare cash plan, Life Assurance, Income Protection, Cycle to work scheme, Electric car scheme, Discounted Gym Membership, Discounts on shops/restaurants/theatres and many more.
