Health Care Assistant

Job summary

Huntingdon Road Surgery is looking to recruit a competent Health Care Assistant, to join our friendly and supportive team.

Applications for part time or full time role will be considered.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing venepuncture to obtain blood samples from patients, as the result of a referral from the GP or in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols. They may also be asked to undertake additional nursing assistant duties such as pre diabetic checks and NHS checks.

Overview of your organisation

We are a very friendly busy training practice with a list size of approximately 23,000 patients. Our team is made up of 10 GP's, 6 practice nurses, 1 HCA, a clinical pharmacist and a very supportive admin and managerial team.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Salary: £10.00-£12.00 per hour
