Trainee Fertiliser & Forage Trader

We are looking for a Trainee Fertiliser & Forage Trader to join our team, if you are looking to kickstart your commercial career within agriculture this could be just the opportunity for you.

An understanding of the UK agricultural industry would be beneficial but not an essential requirement for the role.

Salary: £25,000.00 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Contracted Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

This is an exciting role where you will work with our Senior Trader, field-based teams, and retail stores to build fertiliser and forage sales. This is a hybrid role with time split between working from home and a Mole Valley Farmers site near to you.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintain a fertiliser and forage ledger of farmer customers
• Desk based trading; actively making outbound calls
• Successfully planning your day to drive campaigns and weekly calling
• Handling any complaints professionally and in a timely manner
• Keeping informed of the raw materials market and pricing to ensure accurate advice is given
• Identifying potential prospects
