Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Manager

Northampton, Northants

£45,000 per annum

Permanent position

Summary:

A well established and successful Engineering & Manufacturing business based across two sites in Northampton, is currently looking for an experienced HSEQ Manager to join their friendly and knowledgeable team.

Your main duties will include:

  • - Oversee QHSE systems across group companies.
  • - Work closely with the Managing Director as part of the management team to implement processes and procedures to ensure delivery on Quality objectives.
  • - Implementation of ISO systems i.e. ISO9001, ISO14001
  • - Maintain and improve the management systems in line with ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001
  • Providing weekly & monthly QHSE figures
  • Host Monthly QHSE and H&S committee meetings
  • Hosting annual management reviews
  • Maintain the internal audit schedule for both group companies
  • Perform internal audits to ISO standards and companies own processes and communicate any actions back to the Senior Management team
  • Maintain the document control system (SharePoint)
  • Non-conformance handling for QHSE - Root cause and corrective actions
  • Document company processes to ensure knowledge is retained within the business
  • Develop, improve, and implement seamless systems, policies, SOP’s etc.
  • Act as the main point of contact with both customers and suppliers in order to ensure any quality related issues are addressed.
  • Schedule equipment calibration and ensure equipment is tracked
  • Attend Quality meetings with key customers, presenting monthly reports on the review of actions arising from that month’s issues.
  • Oversee the companies’ inspection departments
  • Oversee companies Health and Safety function.
  • Liaise with external bodies such as HSE as required

The successful HSEQ Manager will have:

  • An advanced qualification in Health & Safety or Quality Engineering is required
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing sector - ideally CNC machining, a Sheet Metal or fabrication background is required
  • Experience of implementing and maintaining ISO systems i.e. ISO9001, ISO14001
  • Ability to lead a team effectively
  • Excellent communication skills with customers, colleagues and Senior Management personnel
  • Problem solving capabilities
  • Effective organisational and delegation abilities abilities
