Data Scientist

We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Scientist to join our team. This is a permanent role based at our HQ in Newcastle.

• At least 3-5 years in a similar role
• Knowledge of machine learning models, especially multiclass categorization, clustering, RNNs and decision trees; and their use cases
• Mathematics degree (or related degree)
• Excellent knowledge of statistical tests and their use cases
• Proficiency in Python
• Some experience of data visualisation
• Experience in deploying data science models/solutions to production (possibly also maintenance in production)
• Experience in successfully deciding the best direction for a project to take
• Able to manage their own workload and supervise other people’s workloads
• Able to cover for team members in their absence
• Confident presenting their work in meetings to colleagues and clients
