Accounts Assistant
Up to £33K DOE
We are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join a leading accountancy practice based in South London. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic accountancy team and make a real impact to a thriving practice. Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate financial records and preparing accounts up to trial balance for a portfolio of clients
- Performing bank reconciliations and processing payments
- Producing and submitting VAT returns
- Preparing CIS returns
- Liaising with clients & HMRC
- Supporting the team with accounts preparation
- Occasionally supporting the team with processing payroll
- Using accounting software's such as Xero, Sage & Quickbooks
Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience working in a UK accountancy practice environment
- Accounting qualifications are desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients
- Have experience with Xero & Quickbooks
- A strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines
